Vaginal discharge more abundant, transparent and elastic tension in the lower belly. These are the main symptoms of ovulation. What’s more to know when ovulation occurs. Pain and stress in the lower stomach and vaginal discharge more abundant, transparent and flexible: these are the primary signs of ovulation.
The symptoms of ovulation are mainly two: pain in the lower abdomen and cervical mucus stringy.
1) Pain in the lower abdomen
It warns a voltage more or less sore in the lower portion of the abdomen, in particular in correspondence of one of the ovaries, where it grows the follicle that leads to the maturation oocyte (or egg). “Springing up to approximately 2 cm, the follicle is almost double the mass of the ovary, stretching the peritoneum (the lining of the abdominal cavity), which is rich in pain receptors,” says gynecologist Rossana Sarli. When the follicle ruptures, releasing the oocyte and the follicular fluid that protects it, that’s the pain disappears. The sensation of pain is individual: some of it is very annoying, some even realize it.
2) Cervical mucus stringy
The cervical mucus becomes clear and stretchy as the clear egg. “It’s a transformation that allows the sperm transport” says gynecologist: “not at all under the microscope you see that appears to the lanes of a swimming pool.”
By knowing when ovulation is: between ovulation and the first day of menstruation spend 14 days. And the sperm survive in the vagina for 3 days
Irrespective of the symptoms, you determine that it is coming ovulation by a simple mathematical calculation: between ovulation and the first day of menstruation spend 14 days. This means that if, for example, the cycle is 29 days, ovulation occurs on the 15th day (29-14 = 15); if your cycle is 34 days, ovulation occurs on the 20th day (34-14 = 20). A little more uncertain calculate if the cycle is irregular if such cycles are 27-30 days, ovulation will take place between 13th and 16th day. The sperm can survive in the cervix about 3 days and the egg survives for about 24 hours. So in a 29-day cycle, for example, fertility is between the 12th and 16th day, 3 days before and one day after ovulation.
