The first thing most women notice when they are pregnant is that your menstrual cycle is not presented. It is a balance of thyroid hormones that control the natural cycle of each month when no pregnancy . These hormones increase naturally during pregnancy and include estrogen, progesterone, human chorionic gonadotropin (hCG) and prolactin (or human placental lactogen, HPL (by its acronym in English)). The increased levels of these hormones suppress the menstrual cycle to accommodate the pregnancy.
Before pregnancy, follicle stimulating hormone (FSH) rises to estrogen which causes the egg begins to develop. Estrogen levels rise until it is ready to be released, and then the pituitary gland releases luteinizing hormone (LH) to trigger the release of the egg and estrogen levels decrease.
